ALABAMA ANGUS ENDORSES BOARD CANDIDATE
The Alabama Angus Association Board of Directors unanimously endorses John E. Harrell as a candidate for Director of the American Angus Association.
The Alabama Angus Association proudly endorses long time angus breeder John E. Harrell for the Board of Directors of the American Angus Association. His personal commitment and love of the development of angus genetics make him a unique and highly qualified candidate for the American Angus Association Board. Mr. Harrell is a past President of our association and possesses a deep angus heritage, a wealth of organizational leadership experience and a diverse and successful business and educational background. Mr. Harrell is a life member of the American Angus Association and with his family owns the Harrell Highlander Angus Farm of Auburn, Alabama. Mr. Harrell gained practical experience in angus development through bull performance testing and cow calf selection. He developed expert skills to balance functional phenotype with science based genetic selection. Through Harrell Highlander Angus Farm genetics, Mr. Harrell seeks to produce commonsense real world solutions that balance with industry leading commercial end products. Additionally, Mr. Harrell’s personal experience includes managing a large financial organization, and currently he owns a thriving small business. Based on our knowledge and experience over many years we believe John will serve all members of the American Angus Association in a capable and positive manner. We have no doubt that John can help our Association address the challenges and seize the opportunities that are before us with the stewardship today’s environment demands.
